Orthopedic and Spine Surgery

Dr. Kenneth T. Kaan is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the spine, performing corrective surgery to address adult and pediatric spine deformity, degenerative spine conditions, and spinal trauma. Dr. Kaan has performed, where appropriate, minimally-invasive surgical (M.I.S.) techniques since 2001. He has over 25 years of experience as a surgeon and has completed a vast array of successful operations.
Dr. Kaan runs clinics at multiple locations throughout the state. His main office is located at the Queen’s Medical Center POB II in Honolulu, but he regularly visits Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, and Kaiser Moanalua. Patients can expect the doctor to determine whether a surgery may be beneficial, based on imaging studies and an in-person examination.
In addition to surgeries and clinics, Dr. Kaan also performs Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs). Employing his research and expertise, he provides insights and answers, resulting in evidence based, reliable, and unbiased reports.
